The Sustainable Cosmetics Summit is a series of international summits that focuses on the leading issues the beauty industry faces concerning sustainability, natural, organic, fair trade and ecological products. The aim of the summit is to encourage sustainability in the beauty industry by bringing together key stake-holders and debate these major issues in a high-level forum.
Some of the leading organisations involved in sustainability in the European beauty industry will be gathering at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit in Paris on 18-20th of October 2010. The summit comprises a 2-day conference followed by an interactive workshop that looks at developing preservative-free cosmetics. With a growing number of cosmetics companies looking to move away from synthetic preservative systems, this workshop looks at the various options available and how they compare to conventional systems.

The Natural Cosmetics Conference takes place then for the third time and once again with top international speakers.
Natural cosmetics are changing the whole cosmetics market. The growth rate is continuing, but the market is more diversified than previously. Natural cosmetics reach new consumers every day, but brand loyalty leaves much to be desired. Apart from growth opportunities, the current situation in the sector is marked by the increasing presence of international brands and the dissociation of natural cosmetics from greenwashing. Germany with a market share of 5.6 per cent is the most vital natural cosmetics market in Europe, followed by France and Great Britain.
The Natural Cosmetics Conference focuses these international trends and challenges. The conference languages are German and English (with simultaneous translation).
